Petzl has been a strong advocate of safer belaying habits and techniques, since the introduction of the GriGri. In recent years they have been developing the #belaybetter and 'My Belay My Art' program where they have well known Petzl Athletes explaining the art of belaying. In conjunction with the Belay Better campaign they have now introduced a range of resources for climbing gyms to help get the 'belay better' message out there. Below you will find a series of print ready posters for use in your gym, focussing on partner checks and belaying. These are really useful tools, please feel free to download, print and use them in your facility.
Because these are published by Petzl, they will reference Petzl Belay Devices, and the device we recommend for commercial climbing facilities is the GRIGRIยฎ +, as it has the cam-assisted blocking and anti-panic handle and is particularly suitable for learning to belay and intensive use.
