A large variety of jobs demand working outdoors for long hours in high temperatures. Industries such as construction, road maintenance and gardening are just a few of those in which workers are exposed to dangerous UV rays from the sun.
Excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation can cause a range of serious conditions, from sunstroke to skin cancer. This risk is growing every year, as our planet heats up owing to the climate change crisis. People working outdoors during daylight hours must be protected against UV rays with high quality, PPE-certified skin protection products.
The BUFF® Safety Arm Sleeve, is certified as PPE category I for skin protection against natural UV radiation and has been tested under the AS/NZS 4399:2017 standard to provide excellent sun protection.
The Solid Yellow Fluor Arm Sleeve doesn’t just offer UPF 50 certification: it has also been PPE CAT II certified to provide enhanced daylight visibility under regulation UE 2016/425, meeting standards EN ISO 13688:2013 and EN 17353:2020 thus offering significantly enhanced safety protection.
The BUFF® Safety Arm Sleeves do more than simply protect. They are also designed to wick sweat away from the skin, and the HeiQ Smart Temp cooling technology keeps workers fresh and comfortable by activating the cooling process when body heat rises. It is ideal for working in hot weather and/or for professional activities that require physical movement.
Protection is clearly of great importance when working outdoors during daylight, but comfort makes all the difference, especially in warm weather conditions.
That’s why we use a four-way, ultra-stretch fabric for our Arm Sleeves, which are available in three sizes to provide the perfect fit for everyone. In addition, a silicone grip incorporated into the elasticated upper section ensure that the sleeves stay in place effortlessly and comfortably.
