Nick Walker

Nick Walker, a dedicated trail runner from Australia, began his athletic journey at the age of 8 when his mother signed him up for Northern Suburbs Little Athletics. Decades later, running remains a central part of his life, shaping his daily routine and teaching him the value of goal setting.

Coached by Run Crew Coach and Olympian Ben St Lawrence, Nick has had a successful career spanning track, road, and trail running.He balances his passion for running with his roles as a full-time Secondary School Teacher, Year 7 Stage Advisor, Coordinator of Activities and Running Coach.

His achievements include placing at several National XC Championships events as a junior, winning the Australian U20 Steeplechase in 2006, placing 3rd in the World Trail Running Championships in 2014, and securing multiple victories in the Sydney Trail Series and Shoalhaven Summit Trail Half Marathon. Recently, he placed in the top 10 at the Australian Mountain Running Championships in 2024 and podiumed in the Lithgow 30k Trail Running Festival.

Nick is currently training for his first ultra 55k and is hoping to become a successful Ultra Trail Runner, ready to take on the world circuit.
